Our Financial Policy
Child neurology differs from most other specialties in several important ways that affects how our office handles financial matters.
There are few short procedures or routine check-ups in child neurology.  Our office visits tend to be longer than the average trip to the
general pediatrician or other sub-specialist pediatrician.  Most of our time (especially in initial consultations) is spent getting a great
deal of background history and reviewing previous evaluations and reports.  After a thorough examination there is generally a need for
extensive patient/family education.  Therefore, we schedule fewer patients each day, have fewer support staff and pass some of the
financial responsibility on to you.  This improves the quality and personalization of the medical care we provide.

While we will provide all necessary billing documentation, we do not bill your medical insurance.  Therefore, you will need to pay our
office at the time of your appointment and subsequently send the bill to your insurance company for reimbursement.  We will keep our
fees commensurate with other child neurologists and sub-specialists offering similar care.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you
need further information or have any questions
